The Eastern Allergy Conference (EAC), dates back to 1987. At which time Dr. Guy A. Settipane perceived that there was a need for a Regional Conference on a larger scale than which currently existed. His goal was to blend the informality characteristic of a small regional conference together with the cutting edge science characteristic of large national conferences. The first Eastern Allergy Conference was held at the South Hamptom Princess in Bermuda and was a great success. Since then, the conference has continued the tradition of blending together the elements of an excellent scientific program, informality and a desired venue.
EAC is a 501 (c) 3 Tax-exempt and Not-for-profit Corporation on file with the State of Rhode Island and the Internal Revenue Service. EAC has a tax ID number, #05-0515560.
The purpose of this Regional Allergy organization is to plan and conduct clinical and scientific CME meetings annually on Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology in an informal and exhibitor-friendly atmosphere. This involves active participation of the major State and Regional Allergy Societies. Allergy, ENT and Pulmonology practitioners (physicians, PA's, and NP's) from the United States, Canada and Mexico are invited to attend and participate.
