Dr. Akin is a clinical professor of Medicine at the Division of Allergy and Immunology at University of Michigan. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Louisville, and Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at the NIAID, NIH, where he remained as a Staff Clinician doing translational research on mast cell disorders 

Dr. Akin is a clinical professor of Medicine at the Division of Allergy and Immunology at University of Michigan. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Louisville, and Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at the NIAID, NIH, where he remained as a Staff Clinician doing translational research on mast cell disorders and anaphylaxis. He was then an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, and an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, before moving back to the University of Michigan. He served on the AAAAI Board of Directors between 2022-2026. He has more than 200 publications, including original research papers, review articles and book chapters.

Dr. Bacharier is the Janie Robinson and John Moore Lee Chair in Pediatrics, Professor in Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Section Chief of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology, Scientific Director of the Center for Clinical and Translational Research and Director of the Center for Pediatric Asthma Research. Dr. Bacharier is a pediatric allergist/immunologist with extensive experience in pediatric asthma research, particularly clinical trials. He has led and participated in multiple federally-funded multicenter clinical trials in childhood asthma. He has over 350 peer-reviewed manuscripts derived from these projects. He is the sole American pediatrician on the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) Science Committee, President-Elect of the AAAAI, an Associate Editor for The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology as well as Editor of the 2 leading textbooks in the field of Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. Banerji is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Director of Leadership and Mentorship in the Center for Academic Development and Enrichment at MGB and Co-Director of the MGB ELEVATE Leadership program. She was previously the Clinical Director of the MGH Allergy and Immunology Unit and Fellowship Program Director at MGH. 

Dr. Banerji is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Director of Leadership and Mentorship in the Center for Academic Development and Enrichment at MGB and Co-Director of the MGB ELEVATE Leadership program. She was previously the Clinical Director of the MGH Allergy and Immunology Unit and Fellowship Program Director at MGH. Dr. Banerji established the Drug Allergy and Desensitization Program at MGH and is co-author of the Drug Allergy Practice Parameters. Dr. Banerji has also participated as an investigator on 20+ clinical trials in HAE and helped create guidelines to improve the management of patients with HAE.

Alan Baptist is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and is the Division Head of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Henry Ford Health. Dr Baptist obtained his medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago and a Master of Public Health degree from Wayne State University. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He was a member of the NIH 2020 Asthma Guidelines Update Committee. He is the founder and director of the Henry Ford Health Comprehensive Asthma Program. He has published over 100 articles, primarily dealing with asthma.

Kimberly Blumenthal, MD, MSc is an allergist/immunologist and Clinician Investigator at the Mayo Clinic and Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. Dr. Blumenthal performs clinical and population drug and vaccine allergy research. She is internationally recognized for identifying the morbidity and mortality associated with unverified penicillin allergies and creating innovative approaches to the evaluation of penicillin and cephalosporin antibiotic allergies across different patient settings. He has been active in resident education and was an Assistant professor of Family Practice and pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin for over 30 years. He serves as a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology; the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology; and the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Bukstein is considered a national expert in using clinical outcomes for managed care. He has had numerous articles published in peer-reviewed journals, including The American Journal of Managed Care, Allergy, Pediatrics, and Journal of Clinical Outcomes Management. Aarti Pandya is an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Missouri Kansas City and Children’s Mercy Kansas City. She completed her medical school training at UMKC. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center and fellowship training at the University of Kansas Medical Center

Anju Peters is a Professor of Medicine and the Associate Chief of Clinical Research and Practice Innovation in the Division of Allergy and Immunology at Northwestern University. Anju is the Director of Center for Clinical Research at the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (a member of the NIH CTSA Program). Anju has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and is a world leader in chronic rhinosinusitis and comorbid conditions.


Anju has led the AAAAI/ACAAI Practice Parameters for Rhinosinusitis and is part of many CRS guidelines. Anju serves on the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Board.
